SAN TAN VALLEY — With deadlines approaching to get on this year’s ballot, proponents of incorporating San Tan Valley into a city are trying to ease some concerns from those who still haven’t bought in.
San Tan Valley Inc. held an Incorporation Come and Go Q&A event Jan. 23 at Pinal County offices to inform residents about upcoming incorporation plans.
Pinal County has nearly 400,000 residents scattered across 12 incorporated and other unincorporated communities, the largest group of those being in San Tan Valley, even after a significant portion was annexed into Queen Creek. The residency continues to grow each year, resulting in multiple attempts to incorporate the community in order to develop its infrastructure and the community.
