Maricopa City Council last night approved the sale of more than 4 acres next to Sonoran Creek Marketplace.

Tacoma, Wash.-based Miravest, a commercial real estate investment and development firm, will purchase 4¼ acres on the southeast corner of Edison Road and Wilson Avenue for $1.45 million.

But what will be built there is still up in the air.

According to its website, Miravest has developed hotels, retail sites, multifamily townhomes and medical facilities in Arizona and Washington State.

The contract is similar to a sale agreement approved by the council in 2022 to Scottsdale developer Geston Duffy Company for $1.42 million.
