AZ Water Company celebrates new plant in Coolidge

An advanced water treatment facility of Arizona Water Company, on West Northern Avenue next to Heartland Ranch Elementary School, officially began operations and celebrated with a ribbon cutting on Feb. 25.

Work on the plant started almost three years ago, and it took longer than expected due to the availability of materials so close to the COVID-19 pandemic. It was a $15 million investment built to sustain future growth in the community. The facility treats about 1,600 gallons of water per minute.

“Water is such a big thing in the state of Arizona,” said Arizona Water Company General Manager Will Kimberlin. “It is such a huge thing to have good quality water, it is what we thrive for. All of (the Coolidge office’s) operators, our management team, we all live in this community, so we do everything we can to sustain the future (of the community).”
