How semiconductor industry helps Arizona’s space industry take flight: An Arizona Republic recap of the Arizona Space Summit, featuring remarks from Rose Law Group partner and leader of the firm’s Space Law Practice, Shruti Gurudanti

The key question: “Arizona has made huge inroads lately in expanding its semiconductor industry. It now produces the most advanced chips in the country. Can the state leverage this momentum to extend a tether to the space industry?”

Arizona’s welcome mat: “‘Several factors aid Arizona in the quest for more space-related activity. One is a ‘friendly, supportive business ecosystem,’” said Shruti Gurudanti, leader of Rose Law Group’s space law practice. ‘We’re a very business-friendly environment,’ she said.”

The other advantages include “Arizona’s growing technology-focused workforce,” “the growing array of suppliers in the state,” “the prevalence of public land,” and “a strong presence in general aviation.”
