Pinal County Supervisor and board Vice Chairman Jeffrey McClure spoke to, and took questions from, Arizona City residents on March 20 on an animal code reversal, investment in new county facilities and other upcoming developments pertinent to locals.
McClure, whose District 4 includes central and southeastern Pinal from Florence to Mammoth to Red Rock all the way to Arizona City, spoke into the microphone for a couple minutes at the Tumbleweed Inn before opening the forum up for Arizona City residents, community stakeholders and business owners hosted by the Arizona City Chamber of Commerce to ask their local county-elected official any questions or raise any concerns.
The early February cancellation of a code update by the Board of Supervisors that would have limited residents’ rights to keep livestock on small properties was top of mind for McClure as he mentioned the canceled vote, citing the outrage that ensued at public forums. The proposed code would have updated 2012 wording.
