The battle between a man deported to El Salvador continued Wednesday. Protests broke out around the country as Kilmar Abrego Garcia was deported back in March.

Attorney General Pam Bondi has said Garcia “is not coming back to our country.” She was asked at an unrelated news conference Wednesday about the case of the El Salvador man living in Maryland who was wrongly deported to an El Salvador prison.

The U.S. Supreme Court has ruled the administration must “facilitate” his release.

Democrats are calling on the Trump administration to give the man due process, as there is no proof Garcia was an actual gang member. Congresswoman Yassamin Ansari plans to join a group of lawmakers on a journey to Central America to meet with Garcia.
