Pinal legislators talk top issues

State Sen. T.J. Shope, R-Coolidge, and Reps. Teresa Martinez and Chris Lopez, both R-Casa Grande, told a BizOutlook luncheon Friday about legislation on water, infrastructure and small business.

The three covered a variety of topics but focused on key Pinal County issues during the event, sponsored by the Casa Grande Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Office.

Lopez told the gathering that he enjoys being a freshman in the Legislature, serving on Appropriations, Health and Human Services, and Natural Resources, Utilities and Water committees. He said he is enjoying the learning curve and the robust nature of the Legislature after being elected last year.
