Rose Law Group is announcing the addition of Chair of IP Litigation, Patrick M. Jones, who is a litigation attorney with extensive experience in intellectual property, commercial litigation, and corporate restructuring.
Licensed in Illinois and Arizona, Mr. Jones has more than 25 years of experience representing businesses and individuals worldwide, according to a press release.
“The internet and AI have made counterfeiting easier and more effective,” Mr. Jones said. “I take great pride in helping entrepreneurs protect their IP—often at a profit even after legal fees—as well as assisting companies that have been wrongfully accused of infringement.”
Patrick has served as lead counsel in numerous high-profile cases, including:
•Lead counsel in Teddy Stratford Apparel LLC, et al. v. the Defendants listed on Schedule A, including more than 182 infringers of Plaintiffs’ trademark, copyright, and patent rights pending in the N.D. Ill.;
•Lead counsel in In re: Boeing 737 Max Pilots Litigation, representing more than 6,000 pilots and pending before the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals; and
Co-counsel with Hanoi-based REFINY Law Firm and lead trial counsel in more than a dozen trademark and copyright infringement cases resolved and pending in the N.D. Ill.
Rose Law Group has been at the forefront of artificial intelligence law, Web3, and metaverse legal strategy.
“Our clients are innovators, creators, and business leaders who need top-tier legal protection in rapidly evolving industries,” said Jordan Rose, founder and president of Rose Law Group. “Patrick’s global experience, combined with his passion for improving legal processes, will be instrumental as we continue expanding our cutting-edge practice areas.”
Beyond the courtroom, Mr. Jones has been an adjunct professor at DePaul University College of Law for over a decade, teaching international law and aviation law. “Growing up in Lawton, Oklahoma, I never dreamed that I would someday have friends — let alone clients — on every continent, except Antarctica,” said Patrick. “And, I am working on Antarctica.”
When he’s not in court or the classroom, Mr. Jones is a three-time Ironman finisher and a dedicated artist, using acrylics to create works that (hopefully) elevate reality.
