Agenda Action Relevance City of Chandler Council Study Session4/7/2025 Consideration of Resolution Authorizing a Foreign Trade Zone Designation for Catalina Components Incorporated In light of recent tariff increases, this will allow application through the City of Phoenix for a Foreign Trade Zone Designation, lowering duty rates and administrative costs. This allows those who sell products within the United States to partake in international trade with lower import/export burden. The State of Arizona also permits application for a property tax reduction with this designation, but Catalina Components Incorporated will not be pursing the tax reductions. Yuma County Board of Supervisors4/7/2025 Possible General Plan Amendment to Remove Highway 95 from the “Visual Corridors” Designation If passed, this amendment would allow industrial uses and billboards along Interstate-95, which are prohibited under the current Visual Corridors designation.
