ELOY — All around Arizona, housing is in high demand. With more and more residents looking to become homeowners every day, the Eloy City Council approved a purchase of land with the purpose of creating a residential area.
The item has floated around council agendas since October of 2023, when the council directed staff to declare an approximately 81-acre city-owned parcel as surplus property, authorizing its release for private development opportunities.
Fast forward to April 2024, when the city received proposals from land developers to take on the project, deciding on Eloy Community Development Partners as the best fit that matches the city’s goals and community vision.
