New ‘Best States’ rankings reveal Arizona’s strengths

Arizona moved up two spots this year among U.S. states when it comes to how it best served its citizens across eight categories including health care, education, economy, infrastructure, opportunity, fiscal stability, crime and corrections, and natural environment.

The Grand Canyon State is ranked No. 30 according to U.S. News & World Report’s 2025 Best States in America, up from No. 32 a year earlier.
