The city of Peoria has more than a half-billion dollars in capital improvement projects planned over the next 10 years for the Peoria Innovation Core in the northern part of the city.
Finance officials are on the homestretch to completing their proposed fiscal year 2026 budget planned for $1.17 billion.
Separate but concurrent to the budget is the city’s Capital Improvement Program that budgets projects into the future, from 2026 to 2035.
During that 10-year time frame the city has a hefty $522 million budgeted for projects in the PIC. For the proposed fiscal year 2026 budget, there are more than $116 million in projects planned for that area.
