East Valley Sprouts-anchored retail hub planned

The city of Mesa’s Planning and Zoning Board has approved plans to develop a new retail center in close proximity to the Mesa Gateway Airport — already a site of notable growth in the East Valley. 

The project, called EastMarket, would provide residents with access to grocery, restaurant and retail services on the northeast corner of East Ray Road and South Ellsworth Road. The site is “one of the last undeveloped properties” in the 3,200-acre Eastmark community, according to a project narrative submitted to the city.
