Florence working toward detailed strategic plan

The Town Council has three broad priorities, the town manager has five main focuses, and next will be a detailed strategic plan with accountability, milestones, timing and names, a Friday morning forum was told.

“We have not had what I would call an accountable, defined strategic plan in many years,” Vice Mayor Cathy Adam told about 40 people gathered at the Florence Community Center. “…However, expect to see a brand-new, much more comprehensive set of strategic plan items.”

In the meantime, the council has set priorities for roads and water, economic vitality and sustainability, and adaptive growth.
