Gilbert council takes action on office park project

An office park project in east Gilbert has received the OK on a request to allow more commercial development on its site.  

The Gilbert Town Council unanimously approved a minor general plan amendment and rezoning request to allow commercial development on a four-acre portion of the BC Park property, located on the west side of Power Road south of Galveston Street.  

The action June 24 changes the land use classification from general office to general commercial and rezones the four acres from business park to community commercial. It also amends the existing Gateway Point Industrial PAD to reflect the new plan.
