Ground breaks at new Maricopa subdivision

A new subdivision has broken ground southwest of the city’s commercial and residential core. Palomino Ridge will bring the construction of 226 homes between the Maricopa Meadows and the Union Pacific Railroad.

Silt fences, a water tank and freshly overturned dirt filled the lot northeast of McDavid Road and Hogenes Boulevard where the 66-acre development is being built. The lots range from 40 to 45 feet wide. The builder is Jacksonville, Fla.-based Dream Finder Homes, which made its Maricopa foray in Rancho Mirage
