The city of Peoria is working to annex 173 acres of Arizona State Trust Land near the 100th Avenue alignment and Loop 303 as part of the larger zoning entitlement of roughly 6,700 acres known as the Peoria Innovation Core.
Officials initiated the annexation request on their behalf of the city and the Arizona State Land Department.
City staff has been working with the Arizona State Land Department, leading the planning of the undeveloped state trust land within the 10.5-square-mile innovation core, which includes land in the Loop 303 corridor from Lake Pleasant Parkway to State Route 74.
