Prescott Preservation Commission makes recommendation regarding Whiskey Row project

The Prescott Preservation Commission (PPC) voted to recommend denying the proposed Plaza Hotel on Whiskey Row at a special meeting Tuesday. This is the second instance in which the commission has recommended to deny the hotel application since it was first proposed two years ago.

The Prescott City Council recently reviewed a continuation of an appeal from the developers of a proposed hotel on Whiskey Row at a meeting on July 8. The council members moved the final discussion and vote to a special meeting on Aug. 5 — directing the PCC to conduct further analysis and hold its own special meeting before this date.
