Via City of Surprise

Surprise residents are happy about their overall quality of life in the city, and they enjoy calling it a place to live — albeit maybe slightly less than they did four years ago.
Those were some of the takeaways from the 2025 National Community Survey, a tool the city uses to gauge what residents like and dislike in Surprise.
The National Research Center at Polco, which conducted the survey from April 24 to May 5, found that about 85% of the randomly selected respondents felt Surprise’s quality of life was either “excellent” or “good.” But the survey, which the city conducts every two years to measure itself against more than 500 similar municipalities, saw some downward trends over the last couple of polls.
