Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs is signing SB 1658, also known as “Jerry’s Law,” at [the Arizona Humane Society’s Papago Park Campus].
Jerry’s Law is designed to protect animals from abuse and neglect. The measure broadens the conditions allowing for animal cruelty charges, and adds penalties for failing to provide medical attention to prevent unreasonable suffering.
