Valley builder wants to buy competitor

Cavco Industries Inc. (Nasdaq: CVCO) is looking to pay $190 million in cash for a competitor in Texas.

The Phoenix-based producer of factory-built housing products has entered a definitive agreement to acquire League City, Texas-based American Homestar Corp. and its subsidiaries, including Oak Creek Homes.
