CG P&Z approves requests for housing projects

Proposed Carlton Commons development with 936 single-family lots

A significant number of housing units for Casa Grande could soon be in the pipeline after the Planning and Zoning Commission approved several developer requests at Thursday’s meeting.

Commissioners approved a major site plan and preliminary plat request from applicant David Maldonado-Camou for a 238-unit build-to-rent complex located on Burris Road, approximately a third of a mile off Gila Bend Highway

The proposed development will have one- and two-story rental homes with various amenities, landscaping and open space.
