Cave Creek Town Council recently unanimously approved a professional services contract with G.M. Zimmerman Architect to prepare complete construction drawings and plans for the renovation and expansion of Town Hall. At the Sept. 2 town council meeting, Vice Mayor Kathryn Royer called the current state of the building “awful” and “unacceptable.”
“This workspace is awful,” she said. “It’s old, the HVAC is terrible, they crammed new people into closets without any windows. I think it’s mandatory that we do something to improve the environment for our employees — if we value them.
“It’s really unacceptable for today’s workforce.”
