CG mayor talks priorities

Mayor Lisa Navarro Fitzgibbons told the Casa Grande Chamber of Commerce’s Biz Outlook Luncheon at the Radisson Hotel on Friday that community engagement is a high priority for the city.

The mayor’s speech aimed to provide an update and overview of city business.

She said the city had created a community engagement plan aimed at encouraging public input. She added that the program is not a public relations exercise but rather a “philosophy of government” initiative.

“I want to begin with something I believe is absolutely essential, public engagement. Without trust, without connection and without real dialog, even the best laid city plans cannot succeed,” she said.
