Council considers NE Mesa housing plan

A 29-unit townhome project in northeast Mesa won approval last week despite some on council objecting to the request for smaller two-car garages.

The Sienna Ridge rental units are proposed on a 3.7-acre site on 90th street, north of Broadway Road.

“While I do support the project in general, the plans before us do represent a concerning erosion of our standards, particularly when it comes to the size of the garages, Vice Mayor Scott Somers said Aug. 18.
