Group to challenge state’s ‘Axon law

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A group is taking a legal fight to the next level against a new Arizona law set to go into effect this week that helps Axon build its new development in Scottsdale.

The Taxpayers Against Awful Apartment Zoning Exemptions is set to file a lawsuit on Thursday that will challenge legislation that paves the way for Axon to build its $1.3 billion campus.

The group said the law is unconstitutional, saying it’s designed only to benefit Axon by fast-tracking rezoning for its 70-acre campus near the Loop 101 (Pima) freeway and Hayden Road.
