Mountain mansion shatters price record

A newly built estate within Silverleaf sold for a record price per square foot within that exclusive guard-gated community, which is tucked into the canyons of the McDowell Mountains in north Scottsdale.

Originally listed for $20.995 million, the 9,710-square-foot home sold for $19.05 million, closing on Sept. 10.
