FLORENCE — Top energy companies APS and SRP are working for historic increases in the amounts of electricity they can provide in the next several years.
“The reason I wanted to have this study session is I need the public to understand that we’re at a critical mass point on the need for more generated power,” Pinal County Board of Supervisors Chairman Steve Miller, R-Casa Grande, said Wednesday.
“It took nearly 140 years to reach today’s demand, and we expect that to increase by 40% in the next six years,” Daniel Ortega with Arizona Public Service Co. told the board.
