Surprise economic development head joining international board

Surprise Economic Development Director Jeanine Jerkovic has been appointed to the board of directors of the Washington, D.C.-based International Economic Development Council, a nonprofit group that serves economic developers.

Jerkovic will join more than 50 other voting members on IEDC’s board, representing more than 5,000 members globally. Her two-year term starts Jan. 1.

“I am honored to join the IEDC Board of Directors and excited for the opportunity to give back to an organization that has given me so much,” Jerkovic said. “Throughout my career, IEDC has been a source of invaluable knowledge, professional growth and mentorship. I look forward to contributing my experience and perspective to help advance the profession and support communities worldwide in achieving their economic development goals.”
