The Kiefer Foundation, the organization founded to end distracted driving and all associated traffic deaths and injuries, has released new music, co-written by Steve Kiefer, founder and chairman of The Kiefer Foundation, and local recording artist, Maureen Kaiser, in celebration of Mitchel Kiefer’s life.
“It was such an honor to work with Maureen on this powerful song that celebrates Mitchel’s life,” said Steve Kiefer. “This is a heartfelt tribute to the incredible person Mitchel was and pays tribute to how he lived his life through big dreams and determination. We’re thrilled to share it with the world.”
“Dream Colossal,” is a song that blends indie folk, country and pop influences that explore themes of resilience, love and self-discovery. The song’s release coincides with the 9th anniversary of Mitchel Kiefer’s tragic passing on September 19, 2016. This heartfelt tribute invites listeners to reflect, find hope and carry Mitchel’s legacy forward with purpose.
“Mitchel left behind a legacy that has touched so many people, that legacy was the inspiration for our song writing,” said Kaiser. “It was such a privilege to be part of this journey with Steve and to continue to honor his legacy and help spread the message of The Kiefer Foundation through our music.”
“Dream Colossal,” was recorded in Nashville by Glade Wilson and is now available on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube and all streaming platforms.
In addition to the music release, The Kiefer Foundation will host an anniversary fundraising event, Drive with Purpose, on September 19. This year’s event will feature the official launch of the Just Drive Simulator, a cutting-edge virtual reality experience designed to teach teens and adults the dangers of distracted driving. Guests will also enjoy a formal listening of “Dream Colossal” and can help support the foundation’s mission to end distracted driving and save lives on our roadways.
