‘A dream takes form’: The Western Wiffle Ball Classic has profound impact on ‘Molly’s Game’ author

While our feeds flood with fury and fracture, somewhere quiet, someone is building something beautiful.

This weekend, I watched a dream take form—a boy, a ball, a bat. What began as backyard joy between Logan Rose and Carson Rose became a vision, steered by the singular, brilliant Jordan Rose and Kasey Thompson. They built a professional 10 team league, recruited owners Kevin Costner, Gary V, Dan Fleyshman, Ron Biscardi and many other legends backing what once seemed impossible.

The weekend ended with Kevin’s words and Field of Dreams flickering across the faces of those who’d just lived their own.

Thank you Ron Biscardi and Kasey Thompson for including me. It’s proof that there are no limits to the love of a game and the earnest pursuit of a dream.
