Chandler acting city manager offered contract

Chandler’s City Council seemed poised to embark on a lengthy, expensive city manager search until Nov. 21.

That’s when Council announced a special meeting for Monday, Nov. 24, where the only item on the agenda is to offer its acting city manager the permanent job.

Council is set to award a $375,000 annual contract to John Pombier in a Monday meeting to be held in the conference room at City Hall, 88 E. Chicago Street, downtown Chandler.

The start time for the meeting isn’t fixed, as it’s set to follow the completion of a 4:30 p.m. executive session about a pending court case.
