Residents are getting the opportunity to shape the future of Eloy policies by getting involved with an important city planning process.
Some residents on Oct. 18 and 22 attended general plan open houses. The plan’s updating process spans 17 months and includes multiple opportunities for community input.
The new document will be voted on by the City Council in May 2026 and by Eloy residents in November 2026.
A general plan is a community’s long-term vision for growth and provision of city services. It has a vision statement, policies, goals, maps and implementation actions. It addresses transportation, recreation and open space, land use, water resources, economic vitality, housing, and public services and facilities.
