Gilbert Town Council has appointed Dawn Prince as interim town manager, effective Jan. 3, following the upcoming departure of longtime Town Manager Patrick Banger.
Prince, who has served as Gilbert’s assistant town manager for the past five years, brings more than two decades of experience in state and local government.
In her current role, she oversees police, fire, the Gilbert Family Advocacy Center, community resources and emergency management, and previously provided leadership to the town’s budget, finance, and parks and recreation teams.
Before joining Gilbert, Prince served the city of Douglas as interim city manager and deputy city manager, where she managed all city departments and advanced strategic initiatives in economic development, housing, library services and human resources.
