Lennar requests auction for state land in Peoria

(Disclosure: Rose Law Group represents Lennar.)

By Daily Independent

National homebuilder Lennar has submitted an application to Arizona State Land Department requesting a public auction for about 800 acres in the Peoria Innovation Core.

If accepted, it would be the second auction for land in the PIC, comprised of Arizona State Trust Land located along the Loop 303 corridor, from Lone Mountain Parkway to State Route 74. The first auction for land within the PIC was in August, when Peoria successfully bid $46.7 million for 834.5 acres of Arizona State Trust Land, securing 104 acres for Tempe-based Amkor Technology to build a new semiconductor packaging and testing campus.

Lennar’s application states the homebuilder is seeking to continue its presence in north Peoria, where its communities include Saddleback, Mystic and Aloravita.
