CASA GRANDE — After her first year as mayor of Casa Grande, Lisa Navarro Fitzgibbons told PinalCentral there is much to be proud of for the city after a busy 2025.
Fitzgibbons, who said she will be running for mayor again in 2026, said the main focus for her and the City Council has been on public safety, public input and quality of life.
Some of the big moves made by the city this year were implementation of an ordinance that required the homeless to vacate public parks and businesses, the successful passing of the November bond election for recreational facility upgrades and the continual roll-out of city infrastructure projects. She added that the opening of the new Fire Station 503 on Pinal Avenue and the implementation of Flock Safety cameras by the Casa Grande Police Department were also key achievements for the city.
