PHOENIX — Although Arizona Gov. Katie Hobbs holds the state’s record for the most bills vetoed in a legislative session, she said what was most meaningful to her in 2025 was the legislation she passed.
“I came into office saying I’m going to be the backstop when I need to and I’m going to protect Arizona’s rights,” Hobbs told KTAR News 92.3FM’s Outspoken with Bruce & Gaydos on Thursday. “But I’m also really proud of the fact that I’ve signed a lot more bills into law than I vetoed and that I worked really hard across the aisle to get some really big things done.”
She added that the bills are often harder fights than the vetoes, which not only makes them more meaningful but also more impactful.
