In an effort to keep up with market interest and move forward with infrastructure in the Peoria Innovation Core, the city has created new capital improvement program projects for the area.
City Council also recently approved a budget transfer in the amount of $3.3 million to begin design on those projects.
With construction of Amkor underway and national homebuilder Lennar having submitted an application to Arizona State Land Department requesting a public auction for about 800 acres in the PIC, officials say they have been asked to bring the infrastructure projects forward.
