After decades of planning, the long-envisioned Litchfield Square is beginning to take physical shape with walls now up on its first major building and an opening set for April.
The three-story structure, known as Heritage Place, is the first mixed-use project rising in the 26-acre downtown district designed to create a walkable city center. The 40,000-square-foot building will feature office, restaurant and retail space and is being developed by LP Heritage Partners.
The building’s frame and exterior walls are now visible, signaling a new phase for the project city leaders have anticipated for years.
