Kevin Burke will take over as the City of Scottsdale’s new senior director of economic development and tourism starting Dec. 29.
These departments drive business recruitment, retention, expansion and small business support; implement and oversee domestic and international economic development strategies; develop and market tourism and events and manage contract creation, monitoring and compliance, according to a press release.
Aside from providing executive leadership, the senior director also advances priority projects that drive high-quality job creation, sustainable growth and Scottsdale’s long-term economic vitality.
