Casa Grande council OKs east-side hotel

The City Council has approved a request from Louisiana-based applicant CG Hospitality LLC for ESA Premier Suites on 2.2 acres south of the southeast corner of Florence Boulevard and Camino Mercado. The applicant is planning a four-story hotel at a maximum height of 50 feet.

The vacant area sits between Camino Mercado and Camino Del Norte, south of Florence Boulevard behind Burger King and Popeye’s.

With the request unanimously approved by councilmembers on Jan. 20, CG Hospitality will be required to submit a site plan to the city for administrative consideration. The applicant will also need approved traffic, drainage and utility reports.
