Pinal County Supervisor Stephen Q. Miller’s ‘District Insider’

By Pinal County

Happy New Year!

Hello all! It’s great to be with you and share the latest from District 3. Would you please do me a favor and share this email with others who might appreciate the insight and information in here?

Before we jump in, you can always reach out to me or our office with questions or concerns. All of our contact info is at the bottom.

Legislative session begins

On January 12th, the Arizona State Legislature convened. From the County Supervisors Association newsletter:
”State representatives gathered at the Capitol eager to begin discussions on their top priorities for this session. Supervisors from counties across the state attended opening day, joining colleagues in the third-floor gallery, or accompanying their representatives as honored guests on the house and senate floors.

On Opening Day, Governor Katie Hobbs’ State of the State Address emphasized the importance of working across the aisle to address key issues such as affordability, water challenges, data centers, and securing the southern border. She reiterated that bi-partisan cooperation is essential to deliver meaningful and effective results for the people of Arizona.

With that, the legislative session is now officially open for business.”

It was an honor to be in attendance and I’m looking forward to working with the Legislature moving forward on issues relevant for our county.

Groundbreaking

This last week, I was honored to attend the groundbreaking of 32 new cell towers which are going up around the county to ensure that students in our county have access to reliable internet and can complete their schoolwork regardless of ability to commute to school. We learned, during COVID, that having reliable internet is vital for our students to compete moving forward.

Shout-out

I was mentioned by Congressman Juan Ciscomani in his recent newsletter and, even though they surfaced a photo of me from a LONG time ago, I truly appreciate the words and recognition.
