Pinal Partnership: Mayors say population, economy continue to grow

CASA GRANDE — Pinal County mayors painted a glowing picture of the local economy at a Pinal Partnership breakfast held on Jan. 9 at the Raddison Hotel.

Pinal Partnership President and CEO Craig McFarland moderated the panel, which included Mayors Mila Besich (Superior), Keith Eaton (Florence), Lisa Navarro Fitzgibbons (Casa Grande), Nancy Smith (Maricopa) and Chip Wilson (Apache Junction), with a series of questions related to achievements made in 2025 and what 2026 might hold for each community.

Prior to asking the questions, McFarland dropped what he said were impressive numbers regarding the economy in Pinal County, which he described as “tremendous growth.”
