A week after judge ruled against homeowners seeking to block homes from being built on the dormant Club West Golf Course, the questions have only just begun.
And the biggest one is: What next?
That question looms large after Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Susanna Pineda on Jan. 29 swept aside virtually every argument the Club West Conservancy raised to prevent course owner The Edge from doing what it wants with the 162-acre site within any applicable city zoning regulations.
Both sides remained silent last week in the wake of Pineda’s 10-page opinion in a case that began when the Conservancy filed suit in December 2021 against The Edge and two Shea Homes entities.
