Lennar mixed-use under consideration in north Peoria

Peoria City Council will consider a proposal from national homebuilder Lennar Homes for a mixed-use development on 24 acres at the northeast corner of Lake Pleasant Parkway and Deer Valley Road.

The proposed project, The Shoppes and The Cove at Camino á Lago, includes 8 acres of commercial fronting Lake Pleasant Parkway and about 16.2 acres of 105 alley-loaded single-family units with functional open spaces and pedestrian connectivity to promote walkability between uses. “Alley loaded” allows residents to park their car behind the residence.

The residential component, The Cove, is planned to be developed as a new, for-sale housing product.
