Legislative Bills

  • HB 4030- Would freeze all taxes, fees, rates, and assessments by municipalities for 4 years, except with a 60% vote by the residents
  • HB 2290- Would change the sales tax receiver from the City an item is shipped to the City it is shipped from
  • SB1241- This bill allows private entities to replace city and county permitting authority for many common residential projects. Prohibits City oversight of certain building codes and actions on certain property-related code violations.
  • SB 1341- Limits municipality’s ability to set aesthetic design standards for new single-family homes.
  • HB 2304- Appropriates state general fund money to ADOT for 72 transportation projects across Arizona. Several Pinal County communities are included, such as Pinal County itself, Florence, Queen Creek, Maricopa, Casa Grande, Coolidge, Eloy, Apache Junction, Superior, Winkelman, and the Gila River Indian Community.
  • HB 2795- Prevents counties from using zoning ordinances to block small nuclear reactors that have received federal safety approvals.
