Bill with some short-term rental restrictions clears Arizona House

PHOENIX — Arizona cities aren’t going to get a chance to limit the number or placement of short-term rentals.

But they will get some additional oversight of what has become in some communities an explosion of homes bought up by investors to be turned into lodging for tourists — and the problems that some cities have said they have caused.
