Casa Grande mayor delivers ‘State of the City’

Mayor Lisa Navarro Fitzgibbons said the state of the city is healthy at a special event Wednesday at the Casa Grande Union High School auditorium.

The evening event had a distinct CGUHS flavor with the mayor and councilmembers donning Casa Grande Union baseball jerseys, welcomed onto the stage by school cheerleaders. All councilmembers are graduates of the high school.

The event also represented a change from previous State of the City addresses, which were typically held at the Community Recreation Center during daytime hours.
