Flagstaff homebuyers dealing with AI scams on top of high home prices

The housing market in the Valley has been a buyer’s market for the last year. However, that’s not the case up in Flagstaff, where home prices are well above average, and there is a housing shortage. 

Now, buyers and sellers are also dealing with an increase in AI scammers trying to steal their land or money.

Flagstaff has mountain views and is surrounded by national forest, but housing here is about 50% higher than the national average.

The expansive forest and views also come with higher housing prices. Lisa Paffrath is a realtor in Flagstaff and the president of the Arizona Association of Realtors. She said housing costs are increasing exponentially year over year.
