Scottsdale launches portal to streamline permitting and city approvals

By Scottsdale Independent

Scottsdale has launched a new online platform designed to simplify how residents, businesses and developers interact with the city for permits, planning and other approvals.

The Scottsdale Smart Planning, Use and Regulations portal replaces three legacy software systems that had been in use for more than 30 years, modernizing the city’s approach to planning, zoning, permitting, inspections, special events and code enforcement, according to a press release.

Approved by voters as part of the 2019 Bond program, the $2.9 million investment provides a single, integrated system that connects multiple city departments and improves both efficiency and customer experience.
